A professional prepress system requires a fast and high quality RIP to
meet production demands. Xitron Navigator RIP is renowned for its high
performance and flexibility, and can be customised to meet various
output requirements. Harlequin is one example; Xitron has packaged
the RIP for the proofing market providing tools that enhance color and
improve productivity.

Navigator RIP v8 provides excellent colour control to ensure consistent, accurate and predictable colour reproduction.
Users can create ICC profiles using ColorPro or can use pre-configured ICC profile plug-ins that Compose has developed for
a variety of devices.
- CIP3:
The CIP3 plug-in produces Print Production File (PPF) files in-RIP. This optional plug-in allows Navigator RIP users to
generate press-specific ink key data automatically from ripped files.
- TIFF/IT:
Supports TIFF/IT input file format widely used in the delivery of electronic content in magazine and newspaper publishing.
- Multi-purpose RIP:
Optional output device plug-ins enable Xitron's Navigator RIP to drive both imagesetter or platesetter simultaneously with a
proofing device.

Drop files into ColorBurst's Job Manager queue or print
directly from your favorite application using ColorBurst
as a Bonjour printer. This product custom screening and color management
provide smooth transitions and fine shadow detail. Black
and white prints remain neutral even under different lighting
conditions.

ColorBurst OVERDRIVE includes Postscript Language Level 1, 2, and 3 support for PS, EPS, and PDF files.
Other file formats supported include CMYK, RGB, Lab, 16-bit, and color-mapped TIFF files (including LZW compression),
CMYK and RGB JPEG files, and RTL raster files.
- Neutral Black and White Prints.
- Job Manager:
ColorBurst offers Job Management normally only seen in much more expensive RIP applications. Files and folders can be dropped
directly into the ColorBurst Job Manager, opened from the ColorBurst File Open menu, placed or saved to the
optional Hot Folder, or even dropped on the ColorBurst application icon.
Jobs can be reordered, deleted, or placed on hold to be processed later.
- SpectralVision Pro:
ColorBurst OVERDRIVE is shipped with SpectralVision Pro, a full-featured ICC profiling software package used to create
CMYK ICC Profiles and linearization files.
